Level 2 Kayak Skills Award ( Learn to Kayak)
The Level 2 Kayak Skills Award aims to enable participants to, Kayak safely and competently on flat water (Sea) and Grade I rivers as a member of a group being led and to assist in basic rescues.
The level 2 Kayak proficiency is the starting point for all kayak proficiency for both river kayaking & Sea kayaking. All equipment is supplied on the course and no previous experience is necessary.
You will receive a Canoeing Ireland Level 2 Certificate at the end of the course

Level 3 Sea Kayak Skills Training ( Intermediate Sea Kayak Skills)
The Level 3 Sea Kayak Skills Award aims to enable participants:
- kayak safely and competently in smooth seas. as a member of a group of peers.
- This course trains you to paddle competently in following winds, head winds and beams winds of up to force three.
- You will also learn to assist in rescues.
- Have an understanding of the importance of weather as a factor in kayaking on the sea.
All equipment is supplied on the course and no previous experience is necessary but the Level 2 Kayak Skills is advised.
You will receive an Canoeing Ireland Level 3 Certificate on completion of the Level 3 Sea Skills Assessment

Eskimo Roll Classes
If you want to take your kayaking to the next level in both skill and safety, this is the course for you. You will learn various rolling techniques to get you back up-right and paddling. The course takes place in a warm heated swimming pool so can learn and practice at your ease and not worry about the cold outside.
